When safe drinking water is unavailable-

Water soon becomes precious following a disaster. You may be on your own for days or you may have to evacuate quickly.  It can become a health emergency.  Hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and winter storms are examples of natural disasters that  interrupt the supply of approved drinking water.

Having an ample supply of clean emergency water and the proper water filters and storage is a top priority in any emergency.  A normally active person needs at least 1 gallon of emergency water for each day.  One needs it for drinking, food preparation and hygiene. 

• Store at least 1 gallon per person per day. 
• Store at least a 3-day emergency water supply and consider more.
